At UK-based ABP Technology, better known to their customers as Stealth Gaming, a gaming revolution is underway. Since 2016, their lean team have been making waves by offering a wide range of top-quality gaming accessories at prices that don't break the bank.

And it’s working. Stealth Gaming is winning the hearts of younger gamers with products that feel high-end but stay affordable. But growing an international brand comes with its own set of challenges, especially when your supply chain starts in China and your customers span the globe.

We sat down with Paul Topping, the Director of Finance at Stealth Gaming, to get the inside scoop on how they're leveling the playing field and how Treyd has played a pivotal role.

The background

Stealth Gaming’s challenge lies in the production process; their products are manufactured in China, introducing extended lead times from order placement to product delivery. With the added complication of prolonged market entry, intensified by rising shipping costs, the team faced cash flow constraints. And staying stocked up ahead of the game was difficult.

Paul Topping, Stealth Gaming’s Director of Finance, discovered Treyd while looking for a way to bridge the gap between supplier payments and incoming revenue. What he found was a financial tool that fit their needs to a T: no fixed fees, total transparency on cost and fast access to capital without giving up equity.

Simplicity, transparency and peace of mind

Paul found financing supplier invoices with Treyd straightforward. The simplicity and transparency of knowing exactly what you’re getting into before taking the plunge is a breath of fresh air in the world of finance, not to mention the peace of mind in not having to worry about the cash flow impact. Paul especially highlights the benefit of all fees being clearly stated upon each financed invoice, which makes the business case assessment straightforward.

'If we've got a substantial order, I can calculate our profit margin and evaluate the interest cost with confidence. We've got more than enough margin to cover the cost. This brings not just financial benefits but also peace of mind.”

Playing to win, one market at a time

Australia was one of their first international wins, but it came with strings attached: working through a middleman distributor who took a 10% cut of every order. That fee covered logistics and upfront payments – but at a steep cost to margins.

Treyd changed the game, allowing Stealth to cut out the middleman and directly serve their retail customers, making each sale more profitable.

Today, Stealth uses the Treyd platform to finance large inventory orders – without overextending their cash flow. That means: staying stocked on fast-moving lines, testing new markets without betting the farm, scaling their D2C channels, alongside major wholesale retail partners.

Instead of waiting months to turn stock into sales, they now have the liquidity to move quickly. And with full control over what and when to finance, Treyd adapts to their pipeline – not the other way around.

Transparency and trust makes Treyd a partner, not just a tool

What makes Treyd a preferred partner isn’t just the flexibility, it’s the simplicity. The team can clearly see what the interest rate will be, which makes budgeting and forecasting easier. There’s no confusion, no last-minute surprises, and no extra admin weighing them down.

“Transparent and nothing is hidden. No nasty surprises. Really good platform, really easy to use.”

The Treyd setup also allows Stealth Gaming to be selective. With a clear view of their order pipeline, they decide which invoices to finance based on timing, terms, and stock needs. Their contact at Treyd, Stephen, makes the limit and renewal process smooth – giving them the intel they need without extra friction.

“Some lenders can be very demanding regarding information. Treyd was simpler. There’s an element of trust with Treyd.”

Something that felt a bit like a risk at first starting with Treyd was the relationship with their Chinese supplier. However, it turned out to be a non-issue, thanks to clear communication and on-time payments that helped establish trust.

Growing bigger, growing smarter

Before Treyd, much of their working capital was tied up in supplier invoices and inventory. Now, they can carry more stock without putting a strain on cash flow. Treyd helps them bridge the timing gap between paying suppliers and getting paid by customers – especially the big ones who set long payment terms.

Their wholesale business still makes up the majority of revenue, but with growing demand through D2C platforms like Amazon and new listings in the US, having access to stock is more critical than ever.

“Treyd lets us stay stocked up. That’s what gives us room to grow – without overextending ourselves.”

What's next

Stealth Gaming is now expanding into the US through Amazon, Walmart.com, and Target. It’s early days, and sales there are still building, but thanks to Treyd, they can test new markets without taking big cash flow risks.

“Using Treyd doesn’t cause any headaches. It just works. And that’s exactly what we need.”

Together, Stealth Gaming and Treyd are a winning combination, proving that you don't have to be a Goliath to succeed in the gaming industry. The future is bright for Stealth Gaming, and we can't wait to see how they continue to level up.
