Working capital built for product businesses like yours

Most product businesses pay for Q4 stock and campaigns months before the sales come in. Pick a time with Andres below, and we’ll turn the estimate in your letter into a real picture.

Your questions

Anything not covered here, ask Andres on the call or at andres.villalobo@treyd.io.

  1. What does it cost?

A flat fee per financed invoice, shown before you confirm. No interest building up day by day, and you only pay for the invoices you choose to finance. On the call, we can show what it would cost on an order like yours.

  2. Is my estimate an offer?

No. It’s based only on your latest Companies House accounts. Any Treyd limit depends on an application and our credit review, and could be higher, lower or not offered.

  3. Is Treyd a loan?

No money lands in your account. We pay the supplier, manufacturer or agency invoices you choose, and you repay us on a date agreed before you draw. It isn’t factoring either: we don’t take over your sales ledger or contact your customers.

  4. Who is Treyd for?

UK limited companies that buy and sell physical products, usually with at least a year of trading and £200,000 or more in annual revenue. Think brands, wholesalers, manufacturers and importers.

  5. What do you need from me?

A few company details and a connection to your bookkeeping, so we can set your limit from live numbers rather than public filings. We’ll tell you exactly what’s needed before you start.

  6. How quickly are suppliers paid?

Within 24 hours of approval, directly to your supplier, manufacturer or agency, in their currency.

  7. Do you take personal guarantees?

They may be required, depending on your business. We’ll tell you upfront, before you apply, so there are no surprises.

  8. Will my customers notice anything?

Your customers aren’t involved at all. Your supplier simply gets paid on time, often sooner than they’d expect.

  9. Can I use Treyd alongside my bank?

Yes. Many customers keep their bank for things like equipment or property and use Treyd for supplier timing. You choose which invoices go through Treyd, if any.

Why a £100,000 order can tie up cash for five months

One example, not a prediction. Your timings will differ.

  1. 1

    Day 0

    Pay a 50% deposit

Your supplier wants half upfront before production starts.

  2. 2

    ~60 days

    Production

The goods are being made. Your cash is already spent.

  3. 3

    ~30 days

    Shipping

The stock is on its way, but you can’t sell it yet.

  4. 4

    ~60 days

    Customer terms

A retailer buys, then pays on 60-day terms.

  5. 5

    ~150 days

    Cash comes back

Around five months between paying for stock and getting paid.

With Treyd, we pay the deposit and the balance when they’re due, and you repay on a date agreed before you draw.

Why Treyd exists

Built around how product businesses actually run

Peter and Sameh met through Antler and spent months talking to businesses like yours. The same story kept coming up: the demand was there, but growth stalled because cash was tied up in stock.

Most trade finance was designed for large companies, with the paperwork and processes to match. So in 2020 they started Treyd in Stockholm, built for growing product businesses and the way they buy, sell and get paid.

Instead of piles of documents, you connect your bookkeeping and we look at your business through live numbers. That means less admin for you, a truer and more current picture for us, and a decision in as little as 24 hours. So you can move at the speed your business needs.
